circa 1795. with slightly swamped two-stage 9in. barrel, moulded band at the intersection, the top-flat at breech signed 'BRISTOL', private proofs, solid engraved top-tang, carved edge and pointed tail to the lock, 'JEFFERY' signature below pan, sliding safe behind hammer, walnut full-stock with slab-sided bag-shaped butt, white metal shield-shaped escutcheon to wrist, iron furniture including pillar fronted trigger-guard bow and brass tipped wood ramrod
